(ANGOLA) – The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a fugitive registered sex offender.

Steuben County Chief Deputy Sheriff Michael Meeks says on June 20, an arrest warrant was issued for 51 year old Larry Keith by Steuben Superior Court. Keith is charged with a felony count of failure to register as a sex or violent offender. The warrant was issued after Keith allegedly failed to report in person to the Sheriff’s Office to register, as required by law.

During the preliminary investigation into the alleged registry violations, Meeks says Sheriff’s Detectives learned that Keith had absconded from Steuben County, and may be somewhere in Northeast Indiana or possibly Fort Wayne. Keith was registered as homeless and may seek the assistance of churches or rescue missions.

Keith is a white man, standing 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighing approximately 213 pounds. He has hazel eyes and his head is shaved bald. He was also last known to have a gray goatee.

Keith has some first names tattooed on both forearms as well as a cross and praying hands on his upper back. He also has black bands tattooed on both wrists.
