Victim Identified In Fatal Elkhart Shooting

(ELKHART) – Authorities have released the name of the person who was shot and killed Sunday in Elkhart.
The Elkhart County Homicide Unit says the victim has been identified as 30 year old Davelle Osby. He along with 11 other people were shot at a house in the 300 block of West Garfield Avenue, and were taken to the hospital.
Osby died at the hospital from his injuries. Eight of the eleven individuals have been treated and released from the hospital.
No word has been given on the other three victims.
The Elkhart Police Department was called to the house on a report of shots fired just after 1 AM Sunday. Officers arrived and found that 12 people had been shot.
Investigators say they believe that several people fired guns during the incident, and that the crime scene now runs between the 200 and 400 block of West Garfield Avenue. No suspects names have been released.
