Michigan State women fall to St. Francis-Brooklyn 66-63

(BROOKLYN HEIGHTS, NY) – The Michigan State women's basketball fell to host St. Francis Brooklyn 66-63 Tuesday night. Senior guard Nia Clouden had her third-straight 20-point game with 21 points to go along with four assists and two steals. Freshman forward Matilda Ekh added 14 points and a career-high four steals. Junior Moira Joiner was solid off the bench with seven points and six rebounds. The Terriers had four in double figures led by 14 points from Khaleah Edwards. The Spartans used a 9-0 run to take a 11-4 lead midway through the first quarter, but the offense stalled from there going scoreless for over the final 3:58 of the period. The Terriers replied with a 9-0 run of their own to take a 13-11 lead. Michigan State has lost two straight, falling to 4-2 this season, while St. Francis improves to 2-3 this season. Michigan State concludes its three-game road trip at Oakland on Friday.
