Centreville track teams win own Invitational

Centreville boys track team wins own Invitational
(CENTREVILLE) – The host Centreville boys track team won their own Invitational, with 813 points on the day. Niles Brandywine was second (504), with Mendon third (494), White Pigeon finished fourth (457) and Gobles was fifth (450). Centreville's Joshua Falkenstein was first in the 400 meters and was part of the winning 800 meter relay team and the 1600 meter relay team. Dylan Coney took first place in both the 100 meters and the 200 meters and Jacob Falkenstein was on the winning 800 meter relay and 1600 meter relay teams. Mendon's Charlie Newburry was second in the 400 meters and took third place in the 1600 meters. Teammate Jack McCaw was second in the 100 meters, while the 1600 meter relay team took second place. White Pigeon got a first place finish with their 400 meter relay team. The Chiefs' 800 meter relay team was second. Nick Bucher was first in the shot put for White Pigeon and second in the discus.

Centreville girls track takes first at own Invitational
(CENTREVILLE) – In the girls portion of the Centreville Track Invitational, the host Lady Bulldogs took first place with 829.5 points. Marcellus was second (783.5), with Gobles third (654), White Pigeon fourth (445) and Mendon fifth (411). Gabrielle Bowen was first in the 100 meters and the 100 meter hurdles for Centreville. She was also part of the winning 800 meter relay team. Teammate Abby Schlabach took first place in the 800 meters, the 1600 meters and the 3200 meters. For White Pigeon, the 3200 meter relay team finished second. The 1600 meter relay team came in fourth and the 400 meter relay team was fifth. Mendon's Jozryl Meeks was first in the 300 meter hurdles and fourth in the 100 meters. Teammate Alexis Ames was first in the 400 meters while Alivia Stuart was first in the pole vault and second in the 100 hurdles. Keyara Szymanski won the shot put and was second in the discus.
