(BURR OAK) – Host Burr Oak fell in the finals of their softball invitational, losing to Athens 5-0. Burr Oak beat Tekonsha 23-3 to get to the championship game. Brooklyn Root went the distance in the title game, pitching 7 innings and striking out 9. For the day, Root doubled and drove in a run. Brooklyn Hernandez had a hit and 3 RBI. Hannah Poley had 3 RBI while Kylah Davis had 2 RBI. Burr Oak is now 12-2 on the season.
