Several Events Planned For Today At Burr Oak Heritage Festival

(BURR OAK) – There’s plenty of activities waiting for you today at the 16th Burr Oak Heritage Festival.
There’s a pancake breakfast at the Methodist Church, and the Parade at 11 AM.
At 12 PM the Firemen’s hot dog sale will get underway. All day long there will be demonstrations with old fashioned farm machinery. Starting at 1 PM there will be a Civil War Re-Enactment at Burr Oak Community Schools in the lower yard. Also at 1 PM the free kids tractor pedal pulls will get underway along with the adult corn hole tournament.
There will be free kids ride and a rock wall climb for all ages at Railroad Park.
Starting at 2 PM, there will be a book signing with S.K. Keogh, author of “The Edge Of Hell”. The mud volleyball tournament gets underway at 3 PM and at 4 PM there will be tethered hot air balloon rides. The junior corn hole tournament starts at 5 PM.
Starting at 8 PM the youth port-a-potty pulls will begin and the adult pulls begin at 8:30 PM.
At 9 PM Big Caddy Daddy will be performing in the Community Tent. You must be 21 to attend. There will be fireworks starting at 10 PM at the Burr Oak School playground.
On Sunday, there will be donuts and coffee at 10 AM, followed by a community Church service at Church Park.
