(STURGIS) – Frank Perez will continue on as the Mayor for Sturgis.

Wednesday night, the City of Sturgis held their Organizational Meeting. During the meeting, the Commission voted to have Perez serve a second term as Mayor. He defeated Jeff Mullins 6-3.

During the regular Commission meeting, Perez thanked those who voted for him to be Mayor. He then asked if the City could look at the budget to help set aside money for Sturgis to use on four projects. ...... {LISTEN}.

The Commission will have a special meeting on November 18 to look at zoning ordinances. Perez says he hopes that some good comes out of this meeting, long term for Sturgis. ...... {LISTEN}.

Also during the Organizational Meeting, Rick Bir was elected Vice Mayor by his fellow Commissioners. He defeated Aaron Miller 6-3. Miller served as Vice Mayor for the last year.
