(COLDWATER) – Charges have been filed against a Branch County man following an investigation into alleged sex crimes by the Michigan State Police.

Branch County District Court online records say that 33 year old Cameron Martinez of Bronson is charged with three counts of aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material, along with an additional count of using a computer to commit a crime.

Court documents says troopers started the investigation after getting a tip from the National Center For Missing And Exploited Children. Troopers then did a Google search warrant that lead them to the subscriber information that was associated with the suspected accounts. Several alleged videos and photos of child sexually abusive material were discovered during the search.

Martinez was arrested and arraigned Friday in Branch County District Court. Bond was set at $10,000 and if he able to post bond, Martinez is not allowed to use a computer that is connected to the internet.

Martinez is scheduled to have a probable cause hearing on March 26
and then a preliminary examination on April 2.
