(MARCELLUS TOWNSHIP) – A Marcellus teen was injured in a one vehicle crash.

According to the Cass County Sheriff’s Department, deputies were called out to the intersection of Miller Road and Cranberry Street in Marcellus Township at 9:45 PM Monday. They found a pick up that had crashed into the trees, and was unoccupied.

The investigation determined that a 16 year old Marcellus boy was driving the truck and failed to keep it under control at the intersection, and crashed into the trees on the west side of the road.

The teen was taken to Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo by his family.

It’s not known if he was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash, which is still under investigation.
