(COLDWATER) - A high speed chase resulted in the arrest of a Coldwater man.
The Branch County Sheriff's Office say at 8:16 PM Wednesday, deputies attempted to pull over a vehicle for speeding on East Chicago Road. The suspect vehicle fled the scene leading to a pursuit that went onto South Fremont Road, then turning onto Dorrance Road, with speeds reaching over 100 MPH.
The suspect vehicle finally stopped on Dorrance Road.
Deputies arrested 46-year-old Steve Burger on charges of fleeing and eluding and operating while intoxicated.
The matter is still under investigation.
