(ANGOLA) - The Angola Common Council received an update on some projects that were supposed to be done by NIPSCO.
During their meeting Monday, Angola Mayor David Martin the Council that the projects have been canceled....(08182026 MARTIN #1 :23 "of approval").
Martin says that NIPSCO's expansion projects they have planned for Northern Indiana at a price of $800 million have been turned down by the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission. Two of the IURC Commissioners called out LaGrange and Steuben Counties for projects they think should be completed by NIPSCO by using alternate means of approval. (LISTEN ABOVE)
Martin says he and members of the Steuben County Commission have reached out to NIPSCO to find out what their plans are. He says NIPSCO is meeting this week and they will know more later.
