(STURGIS) - The Sturgis City Commission has set a public hearing to discuss the 2026-2027 Fiscal Year budget.
As part of the budget adoption process, the Budget Hearing of Local Governments Act requires the City Commission to hold a public hearing before final adoption of its annual operating budget. The City Charter requires that the Commission adopt a budget on or before August 20.
The Commission set the date for the public hearing for the Wednesday August 12 meeting.
A final draft of the budget will be presented to the Commission prior to their August 12 meeting, reflecting changes made during their July 15 budget work session.
