(STURGIS) - Sturgis Public Schools wants to get the community's input following the failed millage request in May.

Monday night, Sturgis Superintendent Dr. Art Ebert shared with the Board of Education a list of survey questions to present to residents of the school district. The questions are designed to get community information and feedback on the May millage so if the District should bring a request in the future, they can be better informed on what the community would like and possibly support.

Ebert says they would launch the survey through the School's newsletter that goes to every home in the Sturgis School District. Ebert says the newsletter would explain there are four ways to take the survey.

Those four ways will be through a QR Code, a direct link to the Sturgis School's website, at the Sturgis District Library and by calling to get a paper copy of the survey. (LISTEN ABOVE).

The survey would also be translated to Spanish.

Ebert says the plan is to have the survey go live on August 11 and be available through August 31. The results would be collected and then shared publicly in September.
