(CENTREVILLE) - The Glen Oaks Community College Board of Trustees has completed its annual review of President Dr. Bryan Newton.

The Board recognized Newtown's continued leadership and steady progress in advancing the College's mission, strengthening community partnerships and supporting student success.

The review reflected the Board's assessment of Newton's leadership across key areas of institutional responsibility, including fiscal stewardship, internal and external relations, strategic planning, student-centered decision-making and collaboration with the Board.

Board Chair Bruce Gosling says Dr. Newton continues to lead Glen Oaks with integrity, focus and a clear commitment to the students and communities the College serves. Gosling says Newton's leadership has helped strengthen relationships across campus and throughout the region while keeping the College focused on access, excellence and long-term sustainability.

During the past year, Newton has continued to work with faculty, staff, students and community partners to support the College's strategic priorities, including enrollment, student success, workforce development, resource development, community awareness and engagement along with workplace culture.

Newton says he is grateful for the Board's continued support and for the dedication of the faculty, staff and community partners. He says Glen Oaks is a special place because of the people who believe in the students and work each day to help them succeed.
