(THREE RIVERS) - Members of the United Auto Workers Local 2093 have a new four year contract with Dauch Corporation.

Sunday night the UAW members approved the new contract with 75% of the membership voting Yes.

The agreement includes a 30% rate increase over the life of the contract with members making at least $30 per hour by 2030.

UAW Local 2093 President Pete Adams spoke with Swick Broadcasting. He says the new contract provides inflation protection, new holiday time off for Martin Luther King Jr. Day and Veteran's Day, an additional nine days of vacation added to what they already have. Adams says their health care will be frozen so they won't have to pay more, and they will retain the same coverage they had. (LISTEN ABOVE).

Workers at the facility, formerly known as American Axle, went on strike June 1 following failed negotiations that started in March.

Dauch Corporation is a major supplier of axles for General Motors, and the Three Rivers facility is their largest in Michigan.
