Lakeland names Brandon Auker as new girls basketball coach

(LAGRANGE) - Lakeland High School has announced the hiring of Brandon Auker as the new girls varsity basketball coach, pending School Board approval. He joins Laker Nation with a mission to build a culture of excellence, family and long-term student success. Auker is a native of Evansville with a rich pedigree in the sport and a deep background in collegiate coaching. Raised in a household of coaches, Auker spent his childhood in the gym watching his mother work alongside Indiana Basketball Hall Of Famer Bruce Dockery for 20 years. He was a four year varsity player in high school and then played at Elmhurst University. Auker says he was drawn to Lakeland not just for the basketball but for the community.
