(LAGRANGE) - Applications for the 2025-2026 LIFE Grants will be available starting next week.
Beginning Monday, November 24 the grant applications will be at the LaGrange County Community Foundation. These grants support projects, programs, and curriculum that introduce educational opportunities to youth across LaGrange County.
Applications are reviewed by the student members of LIFE, the Foundation's youth philanthropy program. LIFE Members attend one of the county's three high schools, or are homeschooled. Students are selected to join in ninth grade and participate in the program through their senior year.
LIFE Grants are created to help organizations make a meaningful difference in the lives of LaGrange County youth.
Funding priorities focus on youth educational projects that help students grow; build connections; spark new ideas; and make a lasting impact.
Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations, government agencies and public schools that serve youth in LaGrange County. Grants will not be considered for individuals, political activities or religious instruction. LIFE Grants also do not support general operating expenses or payments toward past debt.
Grant awards typically range from $250 to $500. After the application deadline, proposals are reviewed by LIFE youth members and recommended to the LaGrange County Community Foundation Board of Directors for final approval.
Grant recipients will be notified in February 2026.
Organizations interested in applying or learning more are encouraged to contact Scholarship and LIFE Program Manager Beth Retterbush by calling 260-463-4363, or e-mailing her at bretterbush@lccf.net.
The application deadline is January 5, 2026.
