(ANGOLA) - Trine University has appointed Ellen Paxton as its new assistant vice president of advancement, adding more than 25 years of experience in fundraising, development strategy and institutional promotion to its leadership team.
Paxton most recently served on the development team at Bishop Dwenger High School in Fort Wayne, where she led the school's three largest fundraising events.
Before that, she was vice president for institutional advancement at the University of St. Francis, overseeing fundraising, alumni engagement, special events, marketing, communications and community relations. During her tenure, she surpassed the university's fundraising goals.
Paxton also spent 15 years at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, taking on progressively senior roles, including director of corporate and foundation relations, senior director of regional advancement and senior regional director of external relations and communications.
She holds a bachelor's degree in physical education with a sport management emphasis from Indiana State University and a master's degree in physical education with a sport administration emphasis from the University of Northern Colorado.
