(STURGIS) - The Sturgis Neighborhood Program is proud to announce the launch of its new Neighbor2Neighbor Home Improvement Program.

The program is made possible through funding from the Michigan State Housing Development Authority MI Neighborhood 2.0 grant. It will provide critical home repairs and rehabilitation services to up to three income-eligible homeowners within the City of Sturgis, helping improve safety, comfort and long-term housing stability.

SNP, with support from the City of Sturgis, is honored to be the first community in St. Joseph County to receive MSHDA MI Neighborhood funding for homeowner rehabilitation, marking an important step forward in supporting housing quality in the region.

Kathryn Myers, SNP Executive Director, says for more than three decades, SNP has been dedicated to strengthening Sturgis neighborhoods. She says this new Neighbor2Neighbor community impact initiative continues that legacy by allowing Sturgis to improve the quality of its housing, which SNP believes is one of the most powerful ways to strengthen the community.

Applications for the Neighbor2Neighbor Home Improvement Program will be accepted beginning March 1 and are available through the SNP's Facebook page. Sturgis residents may also contact SNP directly for more information or assistance with the application process by calling 269-651-4780.
