(POKAGON TOWNSHIP) - Authorities say a medical issue led to a crash involving three vehicles.
The Cass County Sheriff's Office was called to a three vehicle crash at 8:30 AM Saturday. Deputies say that 64 year old Robert Ackerman II of Niles was driving southwest on M-51 near Pennsylvania Street in Pokagon Township when he had a medical issue. Ackerman drove off the road and collided with two unoccupied parked vehicles.
Ackerman was taken by SMCAS Ambulance to Corewell Niles Hospital. He was wearing his seatbelt.
The Pokagon Tribal Police and Pokagon Township Fire Department assisted at the scene.
