(QUINCY) - A Quincy man has been arrested on several charges of criminal sexual conduct.

Branch County District Court online records say 70 year old Dennis Ferris is charged with three counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct with a child under the age of 13. This is in relation to incidents that allegedly happened in Butler Township in June 2021, where Ferris is accused of having sexual contact with the victim who was six or seven years old.

Court records say that the child was lured by Ferris with gifts and was shown pornographic videos and then subject to sexual contact.

Because of two prior third-degree CSC convictions that happened in 1998 in Calhoun County, Ferris is being charged as a third offense habitual offender. Because of that, if he's found guilty, Ferris could be sentenced to a minimum sentence of 25 years in prison and lifetime electronic monitoring.

Ferris was arraigned on Tuesdy and had his bond set at $500,000. If he is able to make bond, he is ordered to have no contact with the victim or any unsupervised contact with a minor.

Ferris is scheduled to have his preliminary examination on February 19.
