(BURLINGTON TOWNSHIP) - A Union City man was killed in a two vehicle crash.
Michigan State Police say the incident happened around 7:30 AM Wednesday as a Jeep was traveling east on M-60 near 9 Mile Road in Burlington Township. Investigators say the Jeep lost control, crossing the center line and struck a semi head on.
The driver of the Jeep, a 49 year old Union City man, was pronounced dead at the scene. The semi driver was not injured in the crash.
Assisting at the scene were the Athens and Burlington Fire Departments, the Union City Police, the Calhoun County Sheriff's Office and Life Care Ambulance.
The crash is still under investigation.
