(HOWARD TOWNSHIP) – One person was injured when they were struck by a vehicle.
The Cass County Sheriff's Office says deputies were called out Friday just after 6 PM for a car versus pedestrian accident at the intersection of Barron Lake Road and Cliffield Court in Howard Township.
The investigation showed that 55 year old Joanne Haas of Cassopolis was driving north on Barron Lake Road when her vehicle struck 78 year old Donald Walsh who was walking across the street.
Walsh was taken to South Bend Memorial Hospital to be treated for his injuries.
Assisting at the scene were the Michigan State Police, the Howard Township Fire Department and the SMCAS Ambulance Service.
