(WHITE PIGEON) - A potential threat led to White Pigeon Schools being closed on Friday.
In a post on the White Pigeon Schools website, Superintendent Shelly McBride says the decision to close all the buildings in the District was made after a potential threat was discovered online late Thursday night.
McBridge says White Pigeon Administration worked closely with local law enforcement to resolve the situation and to allow them to investigate the threat.
McBride says White Pigeon Schools take all threats seriously, and the safety of the students and staff is always the number one priority.
Just after 1 PM Friday, law enforcement gave White Pigeon Schools the all-clear to proceed with normal operations.
McBride says White Pigeon Schools wants to thank the community for their patience as they allowed law enforcement teams the time to conduct their investigation.
