City Commission Gets Update On Electric Restoration Following Storm

(STURGIS) – The Sturgis City Commission received an update on the power outage due to the storm that moved through the area March 30.

McArthur says there were 32 power polls broken during the storm. Because of that amount of damage, he called and asked for help. ...... {LISTEN}.

McArthur says over the course of the next two days, electric crews from Niles, Chelsea, Clinton, Coldwater and Hillsdale also provided mutual aid to get power back on in Sturgis. All total, 1100 man hours were spent by electric workers to get power restored to Sturgis customers.

McArthur also thanked the Sturgis DPS, customer service and City Manager Andrew Kuk for all of their help in getting information out to the public. He says it was a great team effort.
