St. Joseph County Hazardous Waste Collection

The Annual St. Joseph County Household Hazardous Waste Collection is set for Tuesday, May 6th from 2 until 6 p.m. at the Fairgrounds on M-86 in Centreville! This is a collection for households only - NO businesses! The event is free but donations will be accepted and appreciated. Please package all items safely for transport. The following items WILL be accepted:
PAPER:
Cardboard
Junk Mail
Magazines
Newspapers
Phone Books
HAZARDOUS:
Batteries - including car batteries
Diabetic Test Strips
Fluorescent Bulbs
Lithium (LED) Bulbs
Old Gasoline
Pharm Needles (Sharps)
Pesticides
Pool Chemicals
Smoke Alarms
**UP TO 100 POUNDS IS FREE. $2.00 PER POUND FOR ANYTHING ABOVE 100 lbs.

Passenger/Light Truck - Residents can drop off 10 tires. $2.00 fee for each after that. Semi tires $5.00 each. Tractor tires $25.00 each.
*Tires MUST be OFF RIMS, free of mud, concrete, plant material, water, etc.
