(CENTREVILLE) – A pursuit of a person on a dirt bike ended with the arrest of the operator.

St. Joseph County Sheriff Chad Spence says that at 5 PM on Tuesday his deputies observed a man on a dirt bike riding west on East Main Street in Centreville. Deputies attempted to make a traffic stop on the individual for several moving violations, but the driver, a 33 year old Centreville man, fled from deputies.

Deputies caught the suspect a short distance from where he got off the dirt bike. He was later founds to be in possession of a pistol, several rounds of ammunition and methamphetamine.
