Elkhart Police Asking For Help In Fatal Shooting Investigation

(ELKHART) – The Elkhart Police Department is asking for the public’s help in the investigation of a fatal shooting.

Officers were called to the 2400 block of Morton Avenue at 7:25 PM Thursday. When they arrived, officers found a man with apparent gunshot wounds. Despite life saving efforts, the victim, identified as 50 year old David Strowder of Elkhart, was pronounced dead at the scene.

So far no arrests have been made. The investigation is being conducted by the Elkhart County Homicide Unit. They say this is an isolated incident and there is no immediate danger to the public.
