(ANGOLA) – An Angola man is facing multiple charges of child molesting.

The Steuben County Sheriff’s Department says they arrested 56 year old Tracy Payton Wednesday in the 500 block of North County Road 200 East. He is charged with three counts of child molesting, fondling. They are all level 4 felonies.

Sheriff’s Department Detectives started their investigation into Payton in November 2022 when they were contacted by the Indiana Department of Children’s Services regarding the alleged sexual offense.

Detectives says the alleged abuse started in May 2019.
