Traffic Stop Leads To Drug Arrest

(STURGIS) – A traffic stop by the Sturgis Department of Public Safety led to an arrest on drug charges.

At 6:50 PM Friday, officers conducted a traffic stop in the 1700 block of South Centreville Road. During the investigation, K-9 Officer Odin was called to the scene and alerted to the odor of narcotics. A search of the vehicle located crack cocaine and methamphetamine.

A 32 year old Mendon man was arrested and taken to the St. Joseph County Jail on charges of possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, possession of crack cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
