(NEWBERG TOWNSHIP) – A Vicksburg man was injured after his motorcycle struck a car in Cass County’s Newberg Township.

The Cass County Sheriff’s Office says 57 year old Drew Davis was driving his motorcycle on M-40 near Dutch Settlement Road and tried to pass a car on the left, but the car started to turn, and the vehicles collided.

Davis was taken to the hospital to be treated for his injuries. Deputies say he was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

The driver of the car, 38 year old Andrew Avara of South Bend, was
not injured.
