SPS Hires New Teachers And Counselor

(STURGIS) – Sturgis Public Schools has five new teachers and a counselor on board for the 2023-2024 school year.
Monday night the Sturgis Board of Education approved the hiring of the new staff members. Hired in to be teachers are Amanda Morgan, who will teach Science at Sturgis Middle School; Samantha Setterblad, who will be a 5th Grade teacher at Eastwood School; Sara Kelley, as a 2nd Grade teacher at Congress School; Michelle Gruver, who will be the Music Teacher at Eastwood School and Olivia Oberc, who will be an English Teacher at Sturgis High School.
In addition, the Board approved hiring Hadijah Auble as a Counselor at Eastwood School.
All of the new hirees have previous experience in other school districts.
Morgan, Setterblad and Oberc are all graduates of Sturgis High School.
