(BRONSON) – Bronson residents will be paying a little more for wastewater service in the upcoming fiscal year.

During Monday’s meeting, the Bronson City Council approved a request to increase the wastewater charge. City Manager Brandon Mersman shares the proposed rate for the upcoming year. ...... {LISTEN}.

There will be no changes for commodity charges covering water in Bronson.

Mersman says this increase will help to fund the major projects needed to reduce inflow and infiltration under the Administrative Consent Order through the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes and Energy.

Mersman also says this increase will help Bronson prepare for the upcoming project, in case the City does not get any grant dollars to help.
