(STURGIS) – The City of Sturgis has their budget set for Fiscal Year 2023-2024.

During Wednesday’s meeting, the Sturgis City Commission approved the budget by a 8-1 vote. The lone No vote came from Commissioner Rick Bir.

City Manager Andrew Kuk says this year’s budget had some unexpected challenges and expenses. One of them was the situation surrounding the Sturgis Hospital along with another matter. ...... {LISTEN}.

This year’s General Fund budget is estimating Revenues of just over $13.1 million, and Expenditures of over $13.3 million. Overall, the budget will have just over $58 million in Revenue and $60.5 million in Expenditures.
