Sturgis Homecoming Parade Set For Friday Afternoon

(STURGIS) – Homecoming is always a big game on a football team’s schedule.

In addition, there’s the events and activities during the week that make Homecoming a special time for every high school student.

Prior to tonight’s Sturgis football game against Kelloggsville, the annual Homecoming Parade will take place. Staging for the class floats and Homecoming Court will be at the intersection of U.S. 12 and South Jefferson Street.

The parade will step off at 5:30 PM and move east on U.S. 12 to South Maple Street. The parade will then turn south and go to Congress Street, where it will turn east and go all the way to Sturgis High School.

At half-time of the football game, the Homecoming Court will be introduced to the crowd. The 2022 Homecoming Queen Court is made up of Teagen Bush, Sarah Cropsey, Megan Hecht, Ana Merchant, Jillian Romanyk, Theresa Scheske, Kelsye Smith and Emma Zimmerman.

The Homecoming King Court consists of Alexander Arroyo Maldonado, Damian Avila Mejia, Trevin Bathgate, Ethan Kent, Hunter Kosmerick, Leonardo Reynel Cerriteno, Jacob Thompson and Aiden Whitehead.

The King and Queen will be announced, along with how the classes did in the Homecoming competitions.
