(STURGIS) - The carryover from an investigation into the Sturgis City Commission continued Wednesday night.

During their meeting, Commissioner Rick Bir read a statement directed at Commissioner Aaron Miller.

Bir says Miller accused him and other Commissioners of breaking a State of Michigan law in a public meeting. The investigation that Bir says Miller demanded shows that he another other Commissioners did not break the Open Meetings Act., and Miller owes Bir and the others a public apology along with the citizens of Sturgis. Bir also says Miller needs to be committed to working with all the Commissioners moving forward for the good of Sturgis. (LISTEN ABOVE).

Miller said he would not comment on the statement, prompting Bir to ask Miller to step down from the City Commission. Bir says since Miller couldn't offer an apology he should resign from the Commission and any votes he receives in the election will be null and void. Bir says Miller's self-righteousness is staggering.

Miller did not resign from the Commission.
