A change to our broadcast schedule for this Friday. Thunder Country will broadcast the Lakeland at Central Noble game for our game of the week.
Chicago 24, Seattle 17 – Prince Amukamara intercepts a pass from Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, and returns it 49 yards for a touchdown, giving the Bears a 24-10 lead over Seattle in the fourth quarter. (Cody Parkey scored the PAT) Chicago went on to win, 24-17.
Cubs 5, Arizona 1 – Kris Bryant hits a two-run home run to right, giving the Cubs a 5-0 lead over the Arizona Diamondbacks in the eighth inning. Albert Almora Jr scored. Chicago went on to win, 5-1.
Minnesota 6, Detroit 1 – Joe Mauer hits an RBI single to center, giving the Twins a 5-0 lead over the Detroit Tigers in the fourth inning. Ehire Adrianza scored. Minnesota went on to win, 6-1.
Milwaukee 8, Cincinnati 0 – Some baseball history made as Christian Yelich hits a two-run triple to center, giving the Brewers an 8-0 lead over the Cincinnati Reds in the sixth. Jonathan Schoop and Curtis Granderson scored. The triple completed a cycle fot Yelich, making him the first player ever to hit for the cycle against the same team twice in the same season. He also had a cycle against the Reds on August 30th. Milwaukee went on to win, 8-0.
