A remarkable achievement for the Notre Dame women’s basketball team. All five starters from this year’s national runnerup were drafted in the first round of the WNBA draft. Jackie Young was the top pick at number 1 by Las Vegas. Arike Ogunbowale went to Dallas with the fifth pick. Brianna Turner was the eleventh overall pick to Atlanta before being traded to Phoenix. Jessica Shepherd was the 16th pick by Minnesota. And Marina Mabrey was picked 19th by Los Angeles.
