LAGRANGE – Lakeland senior Coby Mitchell will play college football for Trine University. Mitchell signed his letter of intent yesterday.

LOUISVILLE, KY. – The Trine University softball team debuted in a tie for 17th on this week's edition of the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division III Top 25 poll released today. The Thunder received 57 points in the poll this week. It is the first time this season that the team has been ranked by the NFCA. The team currently owns a 12-2 overall record.

Four games on tap tonight as the NCAA Sweet Sixteen weekend begins. Florida State meets Gonzaga, Purdue faces Tennessee at 7:29 p-m on TBS. Texas Tech faces Michigan at 9:39 p-m on CBS, and Oregon takes on Virginia.
