(ALLEN PARK) - Detroit Lions defensive end John Cominsky was carted off the field with a right knee injury on Tuesday, when the team had its second padded practice. Sources say Cominsky tore the MCL in his right knee at practice and now is expected to be out indefinitely, sources. However the same sources say Cominsky could be "possibly back for the playoffs" should the Lions advance that far. Cominsky started all three of Detroit’s playoff games after starting 11 of 16 games in the regular season. He was credited with two quarterback hurries in the postseason, helping the NFC North champion Lions win two playoff games in the same postseason for the first time since 1957. Cominsky had career highs with four sacks and 32 tackles in his first season with the Lions in 2022.
