The Nationals are heading home to Washington in control of the World Series.
They broke open a close game in the seventh inning last night with the Kurt Suzuki home run. That opened the flood gates as the Nationals scored five more runs that inning and four more later, including two more home runs for a 12-3 win and a 2-0 series lead heading home for game 3 on tomorrow night with the next three games in their home park. Steven Strassburg struck out seven in six innings of work to pick up the win.

The Chicago Cubs are expected to announce the hiring of David Ross as their next manager today. The 42-year-old Ross played for the Cubs before retiring after their World Series win in 2016.
