FLOWERFIELD TOWNSHIP – A fire on Monday destroyed a Flowerfield Township home.
Marcellus Township firefighters responded to a home in the 54,000 of DeLong Road at 1:30 PM, and found the dwelling consumed by fire. The Fabius-Park Township and Newberg Township Fire Departments along with the South County Fire Department from Kalamazoo County responded to give mutual aid.
The blaze was finally put out, and the home was a total loss. No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is still unknown. Investigators say it does not appear suspicious in its origin. Damage estimates were not released.
