PORTAGE – A one vehicle accident claimed the life of a Centreville man.
According to the Portage Department of Public Safety's Facebook page, police and fire personnel were sent to eastbound I-94 near the Westnedge Avenue exit just after 12 PM Friday for an injury accident. They found a pickup that apparently lost control while changing lanes and struck a guardrail.
The driver, a 46 year old Centreville man, was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene. His passenger, a 34 year old Three Rivers woman, was taken to Bronson Hospital for treatment of non life threatening injuries.
