Woman suffers burns in Brimfield house fire

BRIMFIELD – A female was burned but survived a house fire in Brimfield Monday afternoon.

The call came in to Noble County dispatch at 4:03 p-m of a fire in the 7000 block of North Main Street.

Deputies arrived and found the fire rapidly growing. They also found a female resident who escaped the home but had burn injuries. She was taken to Parkview Hospital by medics and her condition is unknown.

Firefighters from Orange Township, Kendallville, Albion, Johnson Township and Ligonier assisted at the scene.

The State Fire Marshal’s Office is heading up the investigation into the cause of the fire.
