COLDWATER – The case of a Coldwater man is moving on to Branch County Circuit Court.
Branch County District Court officials say 32 year old Starlin DeLeon-Sanchez waived his preliminary hearing on charges of discharging a firearm from a moving vehicle and unlawfully carrying a concealed weapon.
Bronson Police were notified on December 23 by Branch County Central Dispatch that several residents called in, saying they heard multiple gunshots in the 100 block of Roosevelt Street. Officers arrived and found several spent handgun casings.
Further investigation uncovered that DeLeon-Sanchez had fired the weapon after getting into an argument with a former girlfriend. DeLeon-Sanchez was found in Coldwater a short time later and arrested.
He is scheduled to have a pre-trial conference in Circuit Court February 4.
