Help sought in hit-run crash investigation

WHITE PIGEON TOWNSHIP – The St. Joseph County Sheriff's Department is asking for the public's help with a hit and run investigation in White Pigeon Township.

Sheriff Brad Balk says deputies were sent to U.S. 12 near Hillandale Road just after 3 PM Wednesday. The driver that remained said she crashed into a vehicle in front of her, but the other vehicle did not stop and drove away heading west.

The vehicle is a small, older model blue four door car with a Michigan registration. It should have fresh damage to the rear of the vehicle and possibly some black paint on it.

If anyone has information about this crash, they are asked to call Sergeant Brandon Dahl at 269-467-9045, extension 329.
