LAGRANGE – The driver of a car that struck a buggy early Saturday near Topeka is facing charges.
21-year-old Jazieel DeLeon Galvan was booked at the LaGrange County Jail Monday on two counts of Operating While Intoxicated Causing Death.
A news release on Sunday identified the driver as 21-year-old Jazieel Leon-Galvan of South Bend, but jail records said Galvan had a Ligonier address.
His car struck a buggy on County Road 800 South resulting in the deaths of 44-year-old Velda Miller of rural Ligonier and her 15-year-old daughter – Melissa Jo Miller. 46-year-old Ervin Miller suffered a neck injury.
