Sewer spill closes road near Witmer Lake


WOLCOTTVILLE – A sewer leak near Witmer Lake closed a LaGrange County road Monday.

The LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department sent out a message around 5 p-m saying 7200 South between 165 East and 170 East was closed due to a sewer leak.

It said the main sewer A, B and C was shut down for about three hours Monday evening. The sewer was turned on just before 8 p-m but residents were urged to use caution in the Witmer Lake area when using it.

The road was reopened around 6:42 p-m.
