Fire destroys mobile home near Angola


ANGOLA – No one was injured when fire destroyed a mobile home near Angola Saturday evening.

Angola firefighters responded to the call at 6:42 p-m at 875 East 200 North.

The mobile home owned by Donald Burrell was totally engulfed by flames when firefighters arrived. Those flames were intensified by gusty winds at the time.

The cause of the fire was electrical and ruled accidental.

Firefighters were on the scene approximately two hours and were assisted by Fremont, Steuben Township and Hamilton firefighter, along with Steuben County EMS and sheriff’s deputies.
