Indiana's congressmen support Syrian strike

WASHINGTON – Congress members on both sides of the aisle are supporting military strikes against the Asad regime in Syria.

Northeast Indiana Republican Congressman Jim Banks issued a statement saying he supports President Trump’s decision to authorize targeted action along with allies Great Britain and France.

Democratic Indiana Senator Joe Donnelly also supports the action, saying it demonstrates there are consequences for using chemical weapons on innocent civilians.

Donnelly went on to say he wants to hear from the president, the military and diplomatic leaders on the strategy moving forward.
